Robert H. Steinau
Robert Steinau has over 25 years of distinguished federal law enforcement experience. He has been with NASA OIG since 2009, where he has been the Special Agent in Charge of the Cyber Crimes Division, as well as the executive leader for the Office of Management.
Steinau currently serves as the Chair of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Technology Committee. He is also a member of the CIGIE Executive Council.
Steinau began his law enforcement career in 1999 with the United States Secret Service, where he specialized in fraud investigations and participated in high-profile protection assignments. His last assignment prior to joining NASA OIG was as an agent assigned to the Vice Presidential Protective Division.
Steinau served in the United States Marine Corps and holds an accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati.
